Don't Spend it All in One Place

Whenever I do my shopping at Target, it amazes me how greatly the prices can differ from one store to the next and from in store to online. In a perfect world, pricing would be consistent and I could rest assured knowing I got the best price. This is the real world though, and getting your money’s worth and the most out of your time is imperative. That’s why I’ve compiled a list of what I think are the best Target locations for the following categories: Food, Clearance Section, Household Items, and Toiletries.

Best Target for Food: South Loop

I have always found the best prices on my food at the Target on Roosevelt and Clark in the South Loop. Many of my essentials like organic milk, eggs, cereal, and my favorite granola are usually at least $1.50 cheaper here than any other Target I’ve been to. It makes me feel better when I splurge and buy myself a new candle.

Best Target for Clearance: State St.

This massive Target right in the heart of Downtown Chicago has the best clearance selection I’ve ever seen. There’s so much to choose from and I never fail to find at least three items worth buying. I still make sure to check those clearance tags though. Employee discount or not, I still want the lowest price!

Best Target for Household Items: Lincoln Park North

While this is another tiny Target, it does have a great selection of cleaning supplies and for a typically lower price than other Targets. I can find all my supplies to prepare for when the day comes that I will eventually deep clean my place. It hasn’t happened yet, but at least it won’t cost me an arm and a leg.

Best Target for Toiletries: Streeterville

This cave-like Target is hiding a pretty extensive toiletries section that’s always got a sale going when you need it. I’m a huge fan of the free $5 gift card when you spend $25 in Health & Beauty. This is probably the biggest section of the store aside from food. You won’t have any trouble spending $25 in this section and you might even find that hair treatment you couldn’t find at any other stores.
