Okurrr my sweet tooth lovers! It is time to heat things up in here, and what better way than a little competition between the USA and the UK?!
I bring you ‘Candy Wars’, what better way to get you through your Monday than discussing the best candy! Diets can start on a Tuesday right?
When I think of candy, there is only one place that comes to mind, and that is America. Everything here is bigger and better, but the question I’m asking, is are your sweets better than the UK’s From all the movies I have seen, America just seems to have so many options, like literally endless variations of m&ms, it’s kind of overwhelming…. BUT, i’m here to compare quality, not quantity.
So girl you best be ready for some tea to be SPILT!
British Sweets:
Okay, so we may not have as big a variety of flavours, but I can tell you right now people of Chicago, what we have, is Dairy Milk. Its ratio of cocoa to milk makes it a creamy delicious blend, balanced to perfection.
Not only that but we gave galaxy, the creamiest of creamy chocolate bars, there is no denying that. To us Brits, Hersheys is nice, for about one bite, after that it’s sickly taste becomes too much to bare. No hate please, cause the cookies and cream bar is a-mazing.
Next I have to say that the UK has pick ’n’ mix. This traditional sweet selection will have you shaking with our selection of gummy bears to sour bottles, there is nothing you can’t accomplish when you have pick ’n’ mix on your side.
American Candy:
Peanut butter is the best thing since sliced bread and with chocolate, that is a whole new story! I was SHOOK by the amount of peanut butter chocolates when I stepped into Target! Anyone else suddenly in desperate need of a Reese’s cup??
No more sweet, now it’s about sour! Sour patch kids are one of, if not THE BEST sweets around. Sadly I cannot have them in England because they are not vegetarian, but in America, they are vegan. Your girl was in Target every night grabbing a bag of Extreme sour patch kids! Whilst at Target it was hard not to be drawn in to all the other delicious options…
Finally, it would be rude of me not to mention Wonka Candy. This was defiantly a shopping experience I was not prepared for. So many candies I didn’t know I needed and definitely didn’t know i’d become obsessed with! There isn’t much to say about Wonka Candy other than until you try it, you have no comment!
UK or USA, we all have some killer treats that I will love to the end of time! Let us know what your favourite candy (or sweets) are!
Catch you in the confectionary isle x
